Dashius Clay is a name that you might be hearing coming up within the near future…

Judging from his most recent official video directed By Castro Tarantino, Grindin, we’re going to be hearing a lot more of the name Dashius Clay.

Grindin is set in Dashius Clay’s home city of Miami, Florida, where apparently the beats go as hard as the females do.  Clay comes in with a smooth, melodic hook to set the tempo for Grindin’, and as soon as the first 8 bars hit, Dashius shows his unique cadence that runs smooth as mf’n butter with this track.

The instrumental straight from the beginning gets you hooked in – I still want to know who produced that?! Holla @ me Dashius – there’s work for this man as well coming up.  I can feel it.

“I’m a tough man to impress… but I looked further into Dashius Clay after I heard Grindin…”

Throughout Grindin’ you can hear A$AP Rocky’ish inspired adlibs, which seems to be a trademark for Clay.  I can’t lie – I checked out some other joints of his after I was introduced to Grindin.

Dashius Clay gets his Rhianna on at one point where a “Bitch Better Have My Money” is heard – classic.  Seriously though, dude can flow.  The entire track is laced with flawless trades of tempo that keeps you interested and listening for more throughout the entire single.

Overall – I’m impressed.

I wish the video was more complex and had something of a storyline to it, but the track itself f*cking bumps, and I’m thoroughly excited to see what more will be coming from the Dashius Clay camp within the near future.  Luckily, this is a track where there doesn’t even necessarily need to be a video, but it helps.  Either way, this ish is filled with doughpness.
